Things that make being a mom totally worth it

I was thinking today about some of the things that my boys do that make being a mom totally worth it. There are some things that they each do that make all the tantrums and fussy times completely worth it. Here they are for you to enjoy:

Raymond:
  • the other day while I was sitting Indian style on the floor trying to play with John, Ray ran around me in circles, saying "I love my mama" over and over again
  • In Wendy's on Sunday, Ray spontaneously hugged and kissed me and told me he loved me - and then did the same for daddy
  • This morning, when daddy got up with him, he asked for me and John, and then when we got up, he ran over saying "John" in a super excited voice and then gave John a big hug while he was nursing
  • the fact that he wants to wrestle with me and have me tickle him and always asks for more even when I am really ready to be done ;)
  • reading stories at nap and bed time and watching how much he loves books :)
  • asking me to sing to him in his bed before he goes to sleep
John:
  • Although John is still really little, he has a few things that make being a mommy worth it....random smiles while in the middle of nursing
  • "talking" to mommy while playing on his back on the floor
  • waking up super happy and patient after a good night of sleep
  • wanting to snuggle just about all the time (sadly mommy cannot accommodate this desire as often as she would like)
  • chubby cheeks :)
I LOVE my boys so much and I need to remember all of this when they are driving me nuts from time to time. :)
