My day so far

I have decided that today is one of those days where I should just go back to bed and start all over again. Here is what has happened so far:

John wakes up super happy after coughing for about 3 hours straight....so I think yay, I have the happiest baby in the world and today will be a good day. However, after Peter left for work, I ran down stairs to put more quarters in the dryer, leaving the door open. I came back up to the door being closed and locked! I have no keys and no phone...ahhh! I run over to the neighbors and no one is home...I come back and thankfully, Ray has unlocked the door. (Oh, when I am panicking by the door asking him to unlock it, he tells me he needs the keys.) After the door incident, as I am on the phone telling my dad about it, John spits up his entire meal, making it necessary to run another load of laundry to wash his chair cover. So, I put John in his bed and let him cry (after changing him) so that Ray and I can run a load down stairs. I come back up, put the detergent away, start to comfort John only to discover that somehow Ray has gotten cat poop on his sandal and the back of his shorts. What?! So, I take everything off Ray and get the sandal cleaned off (and placed in the window to dry), while John lays in his bed crying....then grab both boys so that I can get Ray's shorts into the already running washer before it's too late. I then calm John down and he naps for about the amount of time it takes to make lunch, eat it, and try to convince Ray to eat something while I make the meatloaf for tonight (so that all I have to do later is put it in the oven). Almost all of this happened before noon....after lunch, when it was time for nap, Ray decided that today was not the day for that and after he tried to escape his room twice (now that he knows how to work the door), I gave up. John has now been fed again and is napping for a bit....

I wonder what the rest of today will bring....
